United Methodist Women

The United Methodist Women is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of missions through participation in the global ministries of the church. Soapstone has one Circle that meets once a month for fellowship, study, and missions:

• The Mary Martha Circle meets the 3rd Thursday at 10 am. They apply what they learn and study to a variety of service projects throughout the year. Contact Cathy Knowles at 676-9160.

WOW is a vibrant network interwoven with the recognition that as women our lifestyles, interests and faith journeys are diverse. We respect women’s intellectual abilities and strive to go deep into God’s knowledge and truth. In our programming, we look for ways to make it safe to talk about real life – spiritual doubts, loneliness, temptation, regrets, great books and movies, relationships, and all the things that keep us up at night. Those are conversations which produce powerful life change and invite us to allow God to become more real in our everyday lives. But we do much more than talk. We’re on our feet, engaging with one another, our world and with Christ in ways that challenge, inspire, and create a true sense of belonging.
